I’ve been using Streamyx for as long as I can remember. I have multiple streamyx accounts (KK, and Tawau) , but recently I’ve decided to change in favor of the new Redtone Wimax in November 2009.

The constant Streamyx service disruption has made me reach my patience limit. Enough is enough.

The result? for the initial two months the service has been great. But come January it was in poor form. Constant maintenance has made the service very bad. Up to the limit that i think to revert back to Streamyx. But now everything seems ok. (for now, i want to keep my lips tight on this)

The setback, in my opinion, is the monthly charges. Customers have to fork out 138 per month for the basic service plus modem rental.

For now I’m comfortable with Wimax. For how long? God will decide…

Yeah! i'm dumping my nokia n82 for a blackberry Bold 9700.

Celcom provides blackberry users with 3 different packages - 148, 188 and 250 - depending on the usage.

The new Bold 2 only cost RM988. But as i'm a using my old Celcom number, i have to add another RM200 to change the package from Celcom Executive 50 to Blackberry 188 package.

The RM988 is to be paid only by new Celcom number or from changing from Celcom prepaid to Celcom postpaid.

I've summarized all my expenses during my game at MY-NPL first round

MAS Ticket return from KK to Kl - RM502.00
KLIA Express return, KLIA to KL Central - RM70.00
Taxi, KL Central to Bistari Condo - RM18.00
Sumptuous food for 3 days - RM100.00
Taxi, Bistari Condo to Astaka, 1st day - RM15.00
Taxi, Bistari Condo to Astaka, 2nd day - RM10.00
Taxi, Astaka to Bistari Condo, 2nd day - RM18.00
Registration, id & pellet - RM365.00

So my total expenses = RM1,098.00

Here's some important facts that may help;
  • The total weight for my luggage for the return flight is less than 20kg, so no additional payment is required. I recommend Sabahan paintballer to use MAS instead of AirAsia. Its a bit expensive so early booking is crucial.
  • I'm using the upper bag of Dye Navigator to travel with all my equipments inside.
  • Always keep your bag locked
